Dr. Maria Manus Painchaud, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, is a management consultant and former associate professor of organizational leadership in the School of Business at Southern New Hampshire University. While at SNHU, she taught undergraduate courses in strategic management, principles of management, total rewards, human resource strategy and development; graduate courses in leading and managing not-for-profit organizations, strategic human resource management, marketing not-for-profit organizations, and marketing, as well as directed the HR Certification Training Program achieving some of the highest pass rates in the country. Since leaving SNHU, Dr. Painchaud has partnered with the local SHRM affiliated chapter, Human Resources Association of Greater Concord, NH to continue delivering the Certification Preparation Seminar while consistently realizing above national success rates. Over the past few years since leaving her teaching position, Dr. Painchaud has assumed several interim positions, one as the Director of Administration at a small NH law firm to assist with reorganization, operational efficiencies and implementing solid human resource practices. In May 2018, she became the Interim VP of HR to assist a regional not-for-profit during its transition with the departure of long term HR leadership and provided enhancements and incorporated proven systems for advancement of the HR function. Upon the selection of the regular full-time VP of HR, Dr. Painchaud assumed the role of special advisor to the President and CEO where she worked on strategic initiatives and fostered enhanced communication, cooperation, collaboration and coordination between and among the senior leadership. In her previous management positions at a major NH law firm and at a leading NH electric utility, she was the point person overseeing the planning and execution of the strategic plan for both the business operations of the law firm and the Retail Operations Centers of a leading NH electric utility during deregulation. In addition, she was responsible for the management and execution of revised compensation systems, two major technology conversions as well as numerous upgrades, and creating a training and development program for team leaders. Additionally, Dr. Painchaud provides consulting services to both for profit and not-for-profit organizations, focusing on strategic management, succession planning, strategic human resource management issues, and leading and managing change. She serves on a number of not-for-profit boards holding leadership positions, as well as having been selected for several community service recognition awards.
Dr. Steven R. Painchaud, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, is a management consultant and former professor of organizational leadership in the School of Business at Southern New Hampshire University. Dr. Painchaud has over thirty years of teaching, management and consulting experience. He has in higher education, both in senior administration and as full-time faculty. He served as Associate Dean of NH College’s School of Business for several years and assisted during the transition to Southern NH University’s School of Business. Dr. Painchaud then became a full time faculty member where he assumed the chair of the organizational leadership department developing the Masters in Organizational Leadership and guiding curriculum review and development throughout the business administration undergraduate program. He taught in the areas of strategic management, leadership, human relations, and social environment. He was the recipient of the 2008 International Teaching Excellence award from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and is an expert in three year competency based education. He co-authored Saving Higher Education: The Integrated, Competency Based Three Year Bachelor’s Degree Program (Jossey-Bass, 2012). Dr. Painchaud also provides consulting services to both for profit and not-for-profit organizations, focusing on strategic management, leadership training, and human resources management. He serves on several not-for-profit boards holding leadership positions.
